Need better Signal for 8700

I live in a suburban area near a mountain. Generally speaking cell phone reception is poor inside my house (slightly better outside). What can I do to improve my signal?

Not much on an 8700. At home, on a Wifi-equipped BlackBerry you could to UMA calling if you had T-Mobile. With Sprint there is the AirRave option. All WiFi BlackBerrys can get data over this protocol. Nothing comes to mind for AT&T and an 8700 though.
