upgrade

welll... i have the storm unlocked and on orange... everything works spot on atm... when i plug it into the computer its telling me to upgrade im not sure whether i should or not as i am not sure whether this will affect if the phone is locked or unlocked and what features are available. any ideas?

Desktop manager is notifying you of an available upgrade, sounds like. It will not reverse the unlock.

My opinion on software/OS upgrades is this: If it ain't broken, don't fix it. An upgrade will not relock the device. Once unlocked, it stays unlocked.

If your device works as you want and need it to, then why risk messing it up by doing an upgrade. Read through the posts and see what people say. Granted, only those with problems usually post, but you can get a feel for what might happen.

I am most like in the minority here, but if it works, why take a chance to screw it up?

yeah its the blackberry desktop manager... it deffinately wont reverse the unlock? it wants to upgrade to 4.7
