Disable Auto Expanding of Contacts??

Is it possible to disable the auto expanding of contacts from the dial screen. For example when I type in Jill and I start to scroll through all of th Jills, my Blackberry automatically expands the one i'm on (showing work, home, mobile, etc) which makes it cumbersome to find the one I'm looking for.

Nope. Not a user option. It's just part of the OS. I'm not fond of it myself, but we just have to live with it. Maybe OS 5.0 will handle it differently. I'm waiting for the official version of OS 5.0 before I try it.

I have the 9700 with the offical 5.0 and I can not find it. Guess I will learn to live with it. Thanks for the reply.
