I got my wife off her Razor and onto an 8100. She hated it at first then came to really like it......then she went and bought an Iphone. ugh.

I originally got my wife a samsung rant but she played with my 8330 so much I bought her one for her birthday. She's been downloading different themes the last few days and experimenting with the settings. I think she's hooked now!

Another BB converting success story.

Yep. We both just moved from 9000s to 9700s. Prior to that, she was using a Windows phone. Every time I tell her I am going to get her something other than a BlackBerry, she pitches a fit. She is definitely hooked!

Wirelessly posted (8820)

Got my wife an 8100 for Christmas three years ago, and it still works like a champ. Daughter has an 8820, and they BBM all the time.

The Missus has a Touch Pro II that she loves...prior to that, a Wing...and before that a series of Treo devices. She tried an 8800 for about a week, didn't like it. She's a touch screen junkie.

Your wife sounds like she at least knows what's what. Mine comes to me with "honey, I can't get the thingy to work." Turns out she was trying to shove a USB cable into a FireWire port. I had no words.

My wife wouldnt take one. She has the free junky Motorola we got from VZW.
My co-worker wanted the Storm, so he bought one for him and his wife (hoping she would not be mad for him getting the new Storm).
Now, she's a true addict, and has a cow if she cant find her Storm.

My wife got an 8220 the same weekend I got my 9700. So far she likes it, but her company IT people are being idiotically slow about getting her set up on their BES.

I gave my wife my Curve 8310 when I got my BOLD.

She stills uses it as just a phone but I can't get it back because she loves the QWERTY :/

Keep trying to show her how productive a tool it can be for her but she says "I don't have time for all that"?

Woman makes me crazy sometimes! LOL!!

My boyfriend just got a second phone from his boss after the first one pooped out, which is coincidentlly the phone I just left for my blackberry.

He only likes plain phones, he wasn't very supportive of me getting blackberry either haha. He's also a carpenter, so he wants something he doesn't have to be delicate with or treat all that well.

Maybe I'll turn him one day, but I don't see that day coming anytime soon.

My wife and thirteen year-old daughter both have Storms. My life is eaiser this way. I like them to have BB's. I think another benefit is my daughter is learning more about technology too.

I was the first in the family to get a pearl. the entire family was like.. WTF are you getting that for?! and they realised that i was very happy with it owing to the fact that i could do everything on it.

my dad and brother had sony ericssons and i set up the BB software for their phones and they were happy. but really..how long before i converted them?
I showed them the bold. they fell in love, and then we got 3 bolds, and dad and bro are hooked. and i gave my mom the old pearl to get a feel of a bb. she was quite pleased and the next thing we know, she wanted a bold. which we got her.

now we're all 4 bb addicts. :D all 4 of us are on BBM which is SUCH a relief.
Success :).

Yep. BBM is something I fought using for a long time. Call it being stubborn. Now, I use it daily. It really is convenient.

My dad couldn't understand why we needed it.

then one fine day, he just started using it on his own. and he hasn't quit since. it's really funny to see him on bbm, however... he does have the most random conversations with me and in the dead of night when i'm out and maybe not in my elements... it doesn't work in my favour.

I upgraded to the Bold 9000 and gave my wife my 8320 (Pearl Flip). She's getting better but it's still a struggle. Even with her previous phone, I think it was a Sony i530 or something like that, she was pretty bad about keeping it charged or on or accessible......

Now my 7 year old daughter is begging for a BB.....I think she has to be 10 before we even consider getting her a cell phone, nevermind a BB....any others have young kids and when did they get a cell/BB??

boyfriend just has a standard LG 300... nothing too crazy. He'd like a BB but has no need for one. He might use his phone 10 minutes a day... and when I get home from work he usually grabs my phone to use the Minnesota Twins app and Word Mole....

Wife: Storm
two (college age) sons: Curves

My wife came over from the dark side... a TREO... went to the curve, then was jealous of my Storm.. or so I told her... and went Storm. Both my boys had Pearls and now love the full qwerty Curve. They don't answer phone calls... only texts/bbms
.. all 4 of us are on BBM... and have a group called "home". Dorky? yep.

And to "Leaf Fan"... my daughter is 11. Got her first phone (hand me down Razr) when she was 9... now has a Samsung Glyde. No BB for her but she needed/needs a phone when we began taking/dropping her at 2 hour long/twice weekly soccer practice. Text/Voice key for piece of mind re: traffic delays for pickup or other unforeseen issues... whether it's soccer/school/other. Nice piece of mind for mom/dad but doesn't supplant the need to be there. knowhuteyemean?

My girlfriend says she hates the BB and would never need/use one. However, every time I put my phone down she is playing BrickBreaker and I cant have my phone back for an hour...I don't know..you figure it out!

The BB Storm is my 4th BB. My hubby got a curve when we were still with AT&T and he liked it (the qwerty keyboard makes texting easier). But he doesn't do much with it other than text...........

When I got the Storm, my DH was going to get another phone until he played with mine for a moment...............then we turned around and went back to Best Buy for him to get a BB Storm also.........

He still doesn't use it in the manner I think it should be used, but hey, he has one, LOL

She currently has a Voyager with VZW. We're assessing what she wants to go with next.

There's nothing "worse" about the iPhone. What works for one may not work for the rest.

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Got my fiance' onto a BB a couple years ago I had a 7290 switched to 8700 passed it on the her then the evolution began and now she has 8310 and I'm on a 9000!
BBM is crucial for us and our friends most are on BB's as well
Don't see a switch to any other device in the near future other than new BB's

I almost had my wife ready to jump from her moto w755 into a 8330; the main selling point I had her on was the ability for us to have a synchronized common calendar (using Google Calendar + GSync) since our kids have a million appts that we need to shuttle them to. But at the last minute she backed out on the deal and bought herself a fancy paper day organizer and thus we're still stuck with her emailing me events so that I can enter them into my BB. :-(

We all use them and abuse them.

My girlfriend has a Curve, I recently came back to Sprint after a stint with Nextel, and now use the Tour.

My girlfriend has tried to get her father and brother to switch to a BB, but they insist on using WM devices. PUKE.

I'm on my 5th bb.

snhrph jr. uses my 4th one - 8310.

Mrs. snhrph was a long-time user of of all kinds of non-smart phones, but has had a wireless card for her IBM laptops and note-books for years. She did not even want to consider having a bb. Her comment was: "I do not want to be attached to my office any more than I already am!" (I kinda agree with that statement ).

This year I finally convinced her to give bb a try and she LOVES her 9700. So much so, that her IBM note-book stays home most of the time.

I have the 9700, gave my wife my old Pearl. She lost/got wet so many phones she had to prove herself worthy of another BB. Finally got her an 8520. It still works but, I can't look at it. So many finger prints everywhere! Gives me the creeps to see a BB that way.

My wife and my and my girlfriend now both have Blackberries.....................No, wait! I take that back.
My wife, who is my one & only true love in my life (in case shes on line sometime), has finally been converted from boost to a Pearl (8100). Now, if I can get her to use BlackberryForums, my world will be complete.
