I'm a brand new BB user and I am hoping that some of the resident experts can help me out.

I am on a BES (which is off-site) and the home office set up my BB. All appears to be working fine, at least the basic, simple functions I have needed during the first week of having a BB.

My wireless sync features are working -- I enter a meeting on my Lotus Notes calendar and it appears on my assistant's Lotus Notes calendar (on her desktop) and on my BB calendar. Same with e-mail. Working fine.

Now, here's my problem. I enter a new contact in my Lotus Notes address book while I am sitting at my desk, working on my laptop. The contact IS NOT appearing on my BB in my BB address book.

Can someone here help me? Thank you very much.

I'm having the same issue but from the other direction - I have a user who's Verizon 7250 BBerry is not synching the contacts on his BBerry with the BES.

New Verizon 7250 BBerry, user imported his old contact list from a Palm into the 7250 using the migration tool in the v4.1 Desktop Manager. We've confirmed that Wireless Synch is enabled on the Blackberry, he is recieving emails, calendar entries, everything seems to be working except we cannot get the contacts from his handheld to synch up with the BES and into his Notes address book.

V4.1 Desktop Manager, R7 Notes, BES v4.1.0.38. I've gone so far as to wipe and recreate his account on the BES, clear the PIM Synch, reactivate the BBerry to the Enterprise. Notes will synch up with the BES, I just can't get the Handheld to synch with the BES.

ABout to call Verizon and make sure there isn't anything with his account that might be blocking things. Any help would be appreciated.

You guys might be having issues with the difference between a user's Personal Address Book and the Contacts view in his mail. A personal address book is stored locally on a user's PCs whereas the contacts view is showing you contacts that are saved in the user's mail file on the server. BES is going to sync with what you see in the contacts view, but not with what's in your personal address book. Try opening the contacts view and hitting the "Sync Address Book" button to get all of the contacts from the personal address book onto the server where BES can see them.
