Hello - I am new to BlackBerry and to this forum. I would like to download the latest handheld software for my 7100t - to fix the speakerphone problem, among other things. I am using a T-mobile (unlocked) on the Cingular network and want to know if I download the software for the 7100g - will it work okay on my 7100t? I can't download the 7100t software as they require a Tmobile phone number.

Yes, you can use cingular software on a tmobile phone. You have to delete the vendor.xml file (located in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader on my WinXP machine). It will work fine except you may only have the default list theme. If that's the case, see jibi's sticky on themes.

If you want to just stick with TMobile's software you can get it here without a TMobile number. The latest is 4.0.2.49:

Thanks John! For both, info about using Cingular software and the link to T-mobile!
