Tried to upgrade to 175 tonight. Error occured during "Erasing Applications" Now I have a black/off screen, and a double flashing red LED. JLcmdr does not even show the blackberry to attempt a total wipe. HELP

Remove the battery for 30 seconds or so and replace it. While you are at it, if you have a micro SD card in the blackberry, remove it. Does the screen come on to display something, even a 507 error (hopefully).

If you just winged it with JL_CMDER and haven't looked at the FAQ linked at the top of the forum, take a look at

How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ (http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F)

and

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ (http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_wipe)

Also, do not use a USB hub or keyboard USB port, even if it has not been a problem before. Use a port on the computer. Try different ports if you have to in order to get it to work.

If you get the device wiped, then see the sticky at the top of this subforum for the latest OS for your model.

Good luck.

Did several battery pulls, removed the microSD, and read all the FAQ's. Still just got the black screen and double blinking red LED.

Fortunately it was only 9 months old, so Verizon warranty replaced it on Saturday. :)
