Instant messenger problem

basically on the icon has not gone missing its now just a blank folder which says instant messenger on it when you hover over it...i enter this folder to where another icon used to be to click it and then you'd enter your IM etc... this is no longer there any more and i dont know why??? can any one help?

also i have downloaded blackberry messenger which is similar to the original which came with my 8900 curve but not the same...how can i get my old/original IM bk?

please help me cheer...

What was it? Yahoo, Microsoft, a third-party IM app, the orginal blackberry messenger? What?

First thing, enable show all from the menu and look around. Perhaps you accidently hid it.

You might also open options > advanced > applications and see if it is still installed (if you can remember what it is).

Lastly, if it somehow was removed, install it again.
