Will an altell bb 7250 work for verizon?

Will an altell 7250 work with my verizon service? I am looking to upgrade to this bb and wanted to know if I can just take it to verizon and have them put it on my account.

Seeing pretty much all the carriers lock their BlackBerry's to their network I wouldn't get your hopes up.
