Must have IE to download app store... IE constantly crashes?

So I just got a blackberry Pearl, and I'm trying to download the app store. I have the DM, (After some wrestling with Vista.) and the computer sees the blackberry. So I was all ready to go and download the app store, and I got to the point where it said it began downloading onto the blackberry, and then Internet Explorer crashed. It tells me I am *required* to use IE to download the app store, but every single time I try it crashes! I have the latest version of IE, and it still crashes every time. Any solution to this or another way to download the app store?

I have the exact same problem, except I can't even download it onto my blackberry, everytime I go to the download page it says please wait for application to load then I get access denied. I looked online, everyone's solution is "download it on your PC" well guess what.. IE is a piece of crap and won't let me do that either!!! :x:x:x:x

Please help!!
