Here's the situation:

I have a BBC 8520, my fiance has a BBC 8320. She's been having issues with her phone saving to the device as opposed to the media card that came with the phones.

I had an 8320 before and when I had a media card inserted, it showed the data free in the status menu INCLUDING the MicroSD's free space.

My question is directly this, how can I guarentee that the data saves to the media card and how can I get the free space on the MicroSD to show in the status?

Under the options for the camera you can specify that it saves to the card.
The same with video.
Other data is stored on the phone only (address book, messages, etc.)
You can see file free under options, memory.
