Please don't double post.

CDMA devices (like the 8330) can't be unlocked as that is for SIM cards only.

Does Koodo support BlackBerrys.

Welcome to the forums.

Please don't post the same question multiple times. It clutters the forums.

Call Koodo and see if they allow other devices to be on their network. Most CDMA carriers here in the US don't allow it.

Koodoo is owned by Telus as well, just a sidenote.

But do they offer BB service and will they activate devices not in their ESN/MEID database?

I thought they had the Pearl, but from the looks of their site, they do not. I must be thinking of Fido.

Nope, no BB service offered, as for the ESN, I think it's best the OP call them to ask :)

Fido and Koodo. Corporate naming run amok :)

"Koodo" sounds like a play on "Kudu (http://www.wildlife-pictures-online.com/image-files/kudu_slwp-0010_blog.jpg).

As an obscure reference, perhaps Koodo is an homage to "Team Kudu", the offshore powerboat racing team from the late-70's/early 80's that started with "Mongoose" and "Kudu", and ultimately drove "Kaama" to an offshore championship. In a male-dominated sport it was rather remarkable that Kaama was driven by Betty Cook (http://www.historicraceboats.com/bettycook.htm), "The fastest woman on water." She got into the sport with the help and encouragement of her husband and financed both the 1977 and 1979 championship seasons out of her own (considerably deep) pockets. Anheuser Busch was embarrassed that with their corporate budget they lost to a woman, and an independent. So what's a mega-corporation to do? They bought Kaama, repainted it, and drove it 1981 as the Michelob Light boat.

Just on the off chance you're interested. :-)

They are bargain brand child companies to the bigger guys. They are mostly directed towards students and people too cheap to pay for a regular monthly plan. Hence the names  haha
