I want to buy a new BB device. I'm debating between the 7100g vs. 7105t. Does anybody know the key differences between both models (apart from 7100g works under Cingular carrier and 7105t is for TMobile)? Thanks.

Wait for the upgrade. The 7105t has the new glass screen (which prevents the heavy scratching that's present on the 7100 models) along with a greatly improved backlight so that you can actually see the screen outdoors. The 7100g is lacking these features. Right now, only TMobile has the upgraded '05 model which fixes these glitches.

We have several 7105Ts and the audio volume is very low so you almost have to use them with a headset unless in a very quiet location. Other than that we have no issues.

I am on my second 7105t and am having some issues. I want to see if anyone else is experiencing anything like this. My providor is t-mobile, when I call people they tell me that when I talk my voice sounds crackly. Of course the loader I talk the worse it is. But the problem is when I talk normal they say it is bad.

I had the 7100 and never had this problem. Anyone have any ideas? I cannot imagine it is the service b/c I used the 7100 in all the same places and never had an issue.

Thanks

I have had both of these devices and will tell you that 7100g is absolute junk! I returned it in 2 wks of having it b/c no one could hear me. The guy at Cingular said I was about the 5th person that week to return it. I switched over to T-mobile, and just got the 7105t yesterday..I love it! The reception is 100 times better than the 7100g. Those are the facts from someone who's had both. Good luck!

I was hearing similar reports from people that I talk to on my 7105 that my voice sounded crackly. What i did is started holding the bottom of the phone more away from my face or using my BT headset. I think that the microphone in the bottom part of the phone is too sensitive. I havnt had anymore complaints from people about that issue. Sucks having to conscienciously do that all the time but it works.
