Unable to connect to the network by using Direct TCP method

As documented in the Blackberry docs there is way called Direct TCP for making network connections. I'm using it with APN settings on my device, application is throwing Tunnel Failure exception.
I've been told that it is required on Airtel (India) network to activate Mobilet Service and it is enabled on my sim but still the Direct TCP method is not working. Please let me know if there is anything else i need to take care of.

If you have "deviceside=true" + your apn parameters (specific to Airtel India) correctly specified in your URL, then this is a carrier issue.

You are not alone in this, if you search through the forum you will find many similar posts.

I've tried it but app is still unable to establish connection :(
