SMS Still Being Deleted After Adding Memory

Hi,
I added 4GB of memory to my 8830. But for some reason, my SMS messages are still being deleted after a couple of weeks. Do I need to flip a switch somewhere to say save my SMS messages to secondary drive and not my device memory?

On my device memory I have a couple of pictures, voice notes and a few downloaded ring tones.

You can't save SMS to a memory card. Only media such as music, videos, pictures, etc.

Move the pictures, ring tones and voice notes to the media card.
