keys type wrong numbers

Don't know how this happened. But "Send" key is now "z" end call is "9"

the menu button is 8 and it seems to do a strange toggle between shift and number in the most odd way.



It is dead? or can i save this thing?

I'm thinking wipe and re install everything but i wanted to ask a forum first.

1st question - did the Blackberry happen to get wet?
2nd question - have you tried popping the battery out and then in?

wet? don't think so. though i was near water before it went all space 2010, "Cal"
on me.

it will call, receive but the key board almost seems confused and set wrong or something.

I have had this happen to me numerous times, and given enough time the problem eventually subsides.
