Anyone receive that free bluetooth headset from RIM yet?

Cingular was running that special if you bought the 8700 by a certain date (Dec. 1?).

I promptly sent in the required paperwork about 3 weeks ago.

Just curiuos.

TIA

Nov 30th was the last day:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=19995&highlight=8700+rebates

I sent in both, I got a receipt email from Cingular on the $50 that I would hear back in the next 10-12 weeks. I didn't hear anything from RIM yet. The offer was not specific to the 8700.

I also got that same text message from Cingular on the $50 rebate.

Cingular Rebate Status (http://www.cingular.com/myrebate#)

I have not heard anything from RIM. Is everyone else still in the same boat???

Got an email from Cingular about $50 - the Blackberry headset offer is in some god-only-knows abyss. I am thinking of just going to BestBuy and buying a headset - BarJohn to the rescue!

I just checked my Cingular status with the link posted above justin.culp and it showed my last rebate and current status of my 8700 rebate of processed 12/21 and shipping 1/21. No word on the BT from RIM.

I just went back to check the forms...here's the scoop:

Cingular $50 Rebate: Offer good 11/6/05 - 12/24/05, 10-12 weeks to receive VISA Reward Card.

Blackberry Free Bluetooth Headset: Offer good 11/14/05 - 11/30/05, 10-12 weeks for processing.

Basically, if you purchased your BB and submitted the forms by 11/30, you should probably hear/ see something around 3/1/06.

I upgraded my Cingular 7290 to the 8700 using my existing account/contract. While my $50 VISA card is on its way, I've heard nothing at all about this free BT headset except here – and I WANT ONE

My purchase requirements fall within the date ranges posted in this thread, but I can't locate the "fine print." I'd appreciate it if a reader would post info on who's eligible/not, or - even better - a PDF of the free-BT form... Thanks!

I received my free BT headset from RIM this week - its a Motorola HS820

Cingular decided for some reason I "did not qualify" for it.

I bought my BB in the date range and sent the UPC and forms... they responded with a form letter saying I did not meet the eligibility requirements. What BS!

A co worker, who bought the EXACT same model at the EXACT same time, got his. I filled out both sets of paperwork - so I know his and mine matched other than owner and shipping address info.

Quite honestly, I haven't even set it up. I'm totally jazzed with the Jabra 250v and its vibrate function. I just didn't want to have to charge it, test it and then sell it. So, I was just going to sell it.

I'm sure that others here may have actually tried it and can provide some real input.

I got my HSB820 today via FedEx.

It's "ok" it is lighter, and less conspicuous, but i will report back if it is any better than the HSB810 I have had for a year... which I Love.

...more to come.

I once spent twenty minutes filling out a rebate form (software), and sticking on all the barcodes and seals, and they sent me an email saying I had neglected to fulfill all the conditions. I wrote back saying that I was POSITIVE that I did everything exactly right and if they didn't pay up - and apologize - I would share my story with major consumer reporters. Overnight, I got the apology and the cheque came a week later.

I am a bit anal when it comes to things, so fortunately I found that I wrote the submission date on the copies of the paperwork I made.

I would assume that these things started going out this week and everyone whould get them by mid week next week.

Cingular decided for some reason I "did not qualify" for it.

This isn't a Cingular rebate, but on that topic, I did get an email from Cingular that my $50 rebate was in the mail yesterday :) I was concerned they won't give it to me, because they gave me $50 in July when I bought my 7290, so I didn't really have "new service" just a new device.

Still waiting on the BT from RIM, maybe this week, as I filled out the paperwork the end of November too.

Got mine thursday. I have never used BT before and I really like it. Recently, the place I work for announced that no one could use their phones while driving without a headset or BT. Lucky me, it arrived the day of the announcement!

I got mine yesterday. I already have the exact same device but I hardly use it because I have BB with Data only plan. So it will go on sale. Please let me know if anyone wants it . I am not going to open it.
Also I was kind of cusious because I got the BB8700 from Cingular for 299 and then canceled my service within 3 days so I thought I might not get it. But I got it.

I submitted my request a few days past the cutoff date on the rebate, so for those of you that may have done the same...there is hope.

I got the BT on my 50th Birthday (1/18), I have listed it in the For Sale/Trade section of the forum, I have never even opened the box. I just don't need it as I don't talk on the phone much and just hoped I could sell it and reduce the price of my 8700 a bit. I am selling it for $32 total (including shipping in the US, outside US would have to add actual shipping costs).

I noticed in the manual that this BT piece has voice activation capabilities...Does the 8700 enable us to use this feature? If so can someone advise how to enable it?

I got it a week ago. not the best but i think it's the hs820. all you had to do was to send in the rebate with a copy of the side of the box for POP.
