I am trying several ways to transfer contacts from an older Curve with a broken USB port . . . most contacts are already backed up on my computer, but the newest 250-300 are not. I am now trying to move them via Bluetooth.

When the Old Curve pairs with my Mac, I learn that the Old Curve "does not support these services", and several other posts indicate this is a dead end. Now, I'm trying to pair the Old Curve and the New Curve via Bluetooth.

Quick questions --
1 -- What's the "numeric passkey"? Is it the PIN found in the STATUS menu?
2 -- When pairing the two Curves, do I need to enter the opposite's Numeric Passkey on the other, ie -- register both with each other or only one with the other?
3 -- Does pairing require a SIM card in each Curve? I have only one SIM, and I'm trying to bring the New Curve up to code before relocating the SIM from the Old to the New Curve.

Thanks in advance, I'm gathering this isn't as simple as it should be.

Numeric passkey is whatever you want it to be, ie 1111.
On the other device, it will ask you for the passkey, which you enter: 1111
No sim required for pairing

I don't think you can transfer contacts via bluetooth...
