How to change "My Number"?

Hiya,

I'm completely new to Blackberry's, this is the first one i've owned!! I have the Curve 8520... I love it, I just find it a little confusing to use sometimes, but i'm sure i'll get used to it eventually!! :)

Anyways, I wondered if anyone could help me?...

I have always been on an o2 contract, and had the same number for years- but have changed my contract to Orange, as they were offering a much better deal!! I got my PAK code from o2, and gave this to Orange and my number has now changed... However, my phone still shows my old Orange number when I make a call, and on the top of the dialled numbers list. Is there any way of changing this? I have been through the options, and unless i'm being blind- I can't find anything.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Louise,
Options-Advanced options-SIM Card
Highlight "Phone Number" then press menu key and change number.
There you go 8-)

I found this while Googling for a way to change the number too. I found editing Options-Advanced Options - SIM card didn't do anything. Until I shut down the BB and took out the battery for 15 secs. On boot-up, it had lost my screen photo (easily fixed) and refreshed the number shown.
