Yea have the latest mapi/cdo installed. Just ran fixmapi.exe and reinstalled and havent made a difference

Regarding the KB link I have seen this, this morning and ran through all the steps and seemed to be ok. I think its permissions related but dont know where ! I have ran the IEMSTest and fails to display the GAL....

did you try rebooting BES?

Not yet! That server hosts 3 virtual machines including exchange and ForeFront TMG so need to arrange downtime and prey it all comes back online!

try restarting just the BES VM?

I think 5.01 is not supported on 2008 R2. TX4 support revealed to me that there were incompatibilities and that 2008 R2 support is on the agenda for SP2.

Greetings,

try restarting just the BES VM?

The BES is installed on the physical machine which is hosting 3 virtual machines. Didnt get chance to reboot it last night will have to do over the weekend

I have read somewhere that R2 isnt supported hopefully this isnt true as they only have Windows 2008 R2 servers on the domain!

Did you stop and restart your BES services in the correct order, If so this will prevent all of these errors.

STOP: Controller, Dispatcher,Router, then all the rest of your services, it does not matter what order.

START: Router,Dispatcher, Controller, then all the rest of your services , it does not matter what order.

Hi,
i've been having almost the same issue, and had been going around in circles.
I tried THIS (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB19074&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_SUPPORTISSUE_1_1&dialogID=372342082&stateId=0 0 372312793)fix, but for me there wasn't a registry key to amend, so i created it. Again for me there was no Blackberry Server Management key, but there was a BlackBerryServer_MailStoreProfile key which i amended as instructed.
Rebooted the server and tried activating the device again. It looked like it had not worked again, so i cursed it and walked away. Then i found that it HAD worked.
However when i run IEMSTEST, the besadmin account still reports that is has "no Send As permission", but hey, it seems to work (?)

Hope this may help someone with similar issues.
