hey guys im new here and sorry if this topic is overplayed or has already been discussed.

I have had the update icon on my phone for about 2 weeks now and it still will not let me update:cry:

i have went onto my Blackberry Desktop Messenger and it does not even show a new update available.

i have heard things such as it is just a beta and give it time to release for everyone and that its only for Sprint Tours(which i have) and it has not been released yet.

i know a person that has been updated and they told me something that it has done, and im wondering why it hasn't let me do it yet.

Any Help BBF.com??

Welcome to the forum.

What happens when you click on the update? Does it just say no updates available?

I assume you have a BlackBerry data plan on your line, correct?

Hi, Thanks.

It actually says "Update Request Failed. Try again later or update using BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer"

and the BBDM does not show a new update for me.

What OS is currently on your device? Go to Options > About and it will be listed there.

OS = Operating System, what you're trying to update.

It should be the 3rd line down in your About screen.

Yes. thank you.

You can always update by going to the Sticky at the top of the 9630 forum. If your device is running fine, there's no need to do so.

Yeah theres nothing wrong with my 9630. Just been having this Wireless update icon on my phone is sort of annoying. and everyone loves a new update :)

Has a battery pull changed anything? Remove the battery with the phone on, wait a bit, then put it back in.
