Hello,
I'm new here, so hello.
I have a BB Bold 9000, with no media card. Documents to Go is one application already loaded. Is there a way to transfer a Word document from my PC to the Blackberry? I will be writing on a train, and then would like to get the document from the PC to the BB, then send it as an attachment in an email. Or do I have to go out and buy a media card???
Many thanks.
You could email the file to the BlackBerry and get it that way, but media cards are relatively inexpensive, and a better solution for what you're trying to do IMHO. You can then plug in the BB and use Windows Explorer to drag and drop. If you want to save $$ just get a small 1 gig card.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to buy a card. My issue is that I won't be able to email from my laptop, as I'll be on a train.
In my opinion I wouldn't want to clutter up the memory of the BB itself storing documents to be emails. A card is perfect for that.

Couldn't you just use Desktop Manager to put the file(s) into your documents folder? As well as Windows Explorer as suggested earlier... Cards are really cheap.

When I tried to copy a .doc and .xls file to my Blackberry Tour yesterday via explorer it said something like, "file is not compatible with the device" and would not allow me to continue transferring the file. I could not find an option in Desktop Manager to copy files such as document files.
So I just sent an e-mail to myself and downloaded the files from the e-mail onto the external SD card.

Using Desktop Manager 5.0.1... I use Roxio Media Manager to drag and drop all my files to my 8530. .doc, .xls, .mp3... you name it...
Roxio is a good program and free with the download of DM
