Switch Pin # on BES

I have a new BB and need to update BES with new pin number.
The known option is to notify BES Admin of new pin, then run Enterprise Activation when Admin provides the password.
The other option I have a question is, when connecting the new BB to PC and running Desktop 4.1, it asked if I wish to change my wireless update to this new pin number.
Does this second option allow me to bypass the Enterprise Activation, and download all required files from BES?

In short, yes.
The cable connection will complete the equivalent of Enterprise Activation. You will actually see the status of completion on the screen of the handheld. And there are no files actually downloaded to the device...
