Got an unlocked (was on O2) BB 9000. With various SIMS it performs as a phone, no problem (not using BIS). When I install the SIM (O2 contract) from my 9700, despite having a good signal, cannot make calls or send texts. O2 have looked at the phone and said - when the phone was unlocked, it disturbed some settings and there is nothing they can do.
This sounds like BS to me. The 9000 was unlocked via a code. It has the standard (v4.6) O2 operating system.
Any thoughts?

Wirelessly posted (well lookie here!)

I think they are not being quite honest with you. Just an easy way to be done with you

Unlocking does not disturb settings. Period.

I agree. I have unlocked every cell phone I have ever had from simple LG "dumb" phones, Motorolas, Nokias, BlackBerrys... none have ever shown any problem or inability to function because they were unlocked.

The unlocking may have dislodged the frasistam from the marjoram. I hear it's particularly common with O2 BlackBerrys.

2 words for what O2 is telling you: Bull. Shit.
