7130e and Ringtones (Verizon)

Can some smart person compile what is known in an updated post about ringtones, especially for the 7130e? I've searched the forum but there's nothing really germain.
I'm like many people where the incoming call ringtone is too soft, especially when the phone is in its holster. I had the same problem with my old Samsung i600 but I was able to produce some really LOUD ones and import them to the phone.
My sense from what I've read so far the answer is - too bad, you're stuck.

If we can get new (and louder) ringtones into the 7130e, what are the steps to do it?

create an mp3 (edit your song) 64 - 128k mono. Up to 260k seems to work great. Upload it to a server directory and browse to it via your BB web browser. Once open you can save it as a ringtone. Volume isnt great on mp3s, but works well. I recommend 96k mono for a good clean ringtone.

*If you know how to normalize audio or use a maximizer do so before uploading the mp3.

I do audio restoration work so maximizing it to the hilt is no peoblem.
