HTML Email Support

We have an application that allows us to drag and drop emails from Outlook into the program. When someone sends an email from their Blackberry, it sometimes shows up as Plain Text, which cannot be imported into this application.

I don't get why it works sometimes and not others.

What I do know is we are running BES 5.0.1.. The device I'm working with is running OS 4.5.0.110.. It seems if I reply to someone, it comes back as HTML, but if I create an email, it's Plain Text.

Does the blackberry not support creating an HTML formatted email, and only supports it when replying to an already created HTML email?

Okay that makes sense.

Now for devices that are not on 4.5, when they reply/forward an HTML email, will they be converted to plain txt, or keep the HTML format as well?

No. The pre 4.5 devices will not support HTML at all.
Only plain text.
