I just purchased 7250 from Verizon today and set it to use the BlackBerry Internet Service to grab my mail from my Comcast POP server.

I have noticed that it has take sometimes 20 min in a few of my tests for the mail to get from Comcast to my blackberry --- is this normal?? Or is something just up with the Verizon server today.

If it is normal -- any suggestions on how i can do to fix it?

thanks in advance

I think the default to check a pop account is 15 or 20 mins. Can u set your other mail to forward a copy? That should be almost instant.

thanks for the response. Can you change the defaut?? You can forward but then every email comes from that email address -- doesn't make it to easy to reply

hey went back and did fowarding again -- you are right its the way to go. And it did not do what i said regarding the other email - don't know what i thought i saw

fowarding is the way to go to get around the 15min delay on the pop servers
thanks

For someone looking to reduce and/or eliminate the 15 minute delay in the BB push, forwarding is the only solution (non-BES users). I have been online paying a bill and received the email confirmation on my BB within seconds of hitting the submit button on the financial website. You really can't get much faster than that.

fowarding is definately the way to go --

Does anyone know an easy way to elminate your orginal address from being part of replying to all?? this way you don't keep emailing yourself??

Just delete your email addy from the reply list or utilize the BCC feature.

how would the bcc feature work?

Every email sent from the BB would be blind copied to whatever address you define in the Bcc field.

But am acutally trying to avoid sending it to the orginal fowarding address again.. seems like manually removing it each time is the only way to go?
