Animated .GIF on Pearl Yet?

I know in the past the pearl didn't support animated wallpaper with moving images. Have their been any advancements on this in the last year or is it still not possible?

I dont believe any blackberry supports a moving wallpaper.
The battery drain would be ridiculas.
