Hey guys!

I finally received my first blackberry, curve 8900 :). I am way too excited.

My previous cell phones all have had problems with the battery. The last one I had had to be charged every night, and still it would shut down in the middle of a conversation the same day.

Now I just want to know what charging method is best for the blackberry (or generally cell phones). Do you guys charge it whole night when it shows low battery or just until it says battery full? I am afraid to ''overcharge'' my new cell.

Thanks!

I always keep mine topped up - i.e. plugged into the PC when in the office. A Lithium battery is much different from the old Ni-Cads and actually work better if they stay topped of. You should never run it dry either.

Battery life depends on how you use it, how much you use it, and what data intensive apps are running. And if you are in a 3G fringe area, the device will constantly search in and out of 3G so that takes a lot of battery.
