Hello

I am not able to back up my curve 8330. When I choose "backup" the desktop manager says it's transferring but nothing happen. It's been transferring for hours. Has anyone else had this problem? The phone also keeps going back and forth with asking me if I want to be in mass storage mode and I always click yes

Wirelessly posted (8520 (5.0.0.411))

Try it with mass storage mode disabled, and also do you have the BlackBerry device drivers installed?

Also check the options in DM if Sytner's suggestion does not work.

Have you done a battery pull on the device?

ALso what version of the desktop manager are you using?

Hi f.derosiers,

If your bb is or was part of BES, the desktop[SYNC] service book may be blocking the backup process due to a feature called automatic wireless backup.

Try this:
1.From the main screen of the bb, go to options(settings), advanced options, service book and deleted the desktop[SYNC] service book.
2.Try the backup.
3.If that fails, try going to Backup & Restore, Advanced and then backup selected databases as some of the databases on ur bb may be corrupt.
4.Once done, you can restore the service book by going to options(settings), advanced options, service book, pressing the menu button and select undelete.

Hope this helps.
