Selecting Network on 8700c

I just purchased an 8700c to try out with Cingular for 30 days.

I can't seem to figure out how to manually select a network with this thing. I go to options/network just like with my 7100t, but instead of letting me select auto/manual, it just shows me which network I am attached to. There is no way to change. I have searched for an answer but don't see any posted.

Anyone else have this issue with their 8700c?

Its not a problem with the device. Cingular does not let you change the networks manually like AT&T did. I believe this is a feature of the SIM chip.

My Cingular Blue chip allows me to change.

Yes Cingular Blue=AT&T

But Cingular does not let you use network select, as I stated.
