Most apps require data.

You will have to search for apps that have a Desktop Installation option.

Not all of them do.

Since most themes I've seen are only available Over The Air, you must have a data plan.

Too bad you didn't do your homework.
Maybe you can switch back?

no i cant switch back. i sold my iphone. What if i downloaded apps using another person's sim card with data. If i then transfer my sim back, would those applications or themes remain?

There is a Windows program that will allow you to download the jad and cod files that you will need to install apps, to your pc. Once downloaded, put all the files on your media card in a folder. Then go to media>explore>media card. Find the jad file and click it. The app will install using your browser. I've used it before, and will search and see if I still have it.
You may also be able to install jad and cod files using BB Swiss Army Knife (BBSAK).

Ok so you download the Apps and what do you do then? You still need a Blackberry Data plan for most features to work. Also depending on the carrier, you may find you’re automatically put on a BB data plan once they detect the BB.
As NJ stated, why didn’t you do any research. Nothings free in this life.

Nothings free in this life.

Except disappointment for trying to cheat the system and getting burned. They give you that free everytime.

The good news is that the OP can cancel his iPhone data plan and add the BlackBerry data plan. Should be an even swap.
