I recently upgraded my 7750 (Verizon) to OS 4.0. I have a BES provider that is running BES version 4 and he wants me to use wireless enterprise activation. When I try it, I get a failure and usually a message that says:

Decryption Failure
Please regenerate keys

I also get this same error when I try to send an email to my wireless email account. It seems to me that the keys on the blackberry and BES do not match. Is something my BES admin has to do to regenerate them?

I have tried (in this order):

Regenerating keys using blackberry desktop
Regenerating keys using options>security>regenerate keys
Clean install (wipe and load of OS 4.0)

Right now I am sitting with a vanilla install of BB OS 4 on my 7750 and relationship to the desktop or enterprise server.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem when changing out a blackberry. What worked for me was going into the redirector via desktop, changing the regenerating key from automatic to manual, created a new key, changed the option back to automatic.

Good luck...

Thanks Gregg! Just after that I received a response from my BES admin about having to reset the activation password. Looks like the right combo was to wipe, then have him reset the password.

Now hopefully I can get my desktop redirector to work as well.
