Hi, I am a physician who uses a BB8700r. I still carry my Treo 650 around because I have tons of medical software in it.
I just downloaded Mobipocket (an ebook reader that supports lots of devices including the BB) and now, I have a few medical books/references in my BB because of this program. I just wanted to share this with other medical folks in this forum that Mobipocket Reader is an option (aside from the Beik's Pocket Guide to Medications) if you want to have some medical references in your BB.
Cheers!

Now if I could only find a first aid app instead of always carrying around this mini book with me everywhere. Hopefully one day...

MCS Health has an Epocrates-like application for drug information, but at a cost. Try the trial and see if it will be adequate. This has allowed me to finally stop also carrying a Palm device.

I tried to register for the trial last week but still cannot log in...it says access denied. I tried OTA download of the software. I input a drug to try a search but of course, it says that I do not have permission to use the server. I wanted to log in their website so I can input my PIN. I emailed them several times but never got a response.

Efforts are currently under way to expand the number of reference guides, and other medical applications available on BB.

In addition to Beiks (http://www.blackberry.beiks.com/) other guides can be found at UnBound Medicine (http://www.unboundmedicine.com/).
