FREE UP SPACE on THE BB 8330 with OS 5.0

Hi. Is there a way to move applications to the media card? I cannot add or even delete anything from Desktop Manager because it gives me a message there is no space available on the device to do the requested action. I really do not want to delete my purchased apps but what else can I do if I cannot not move them to my media card which is empty. Thanks once again all. I am new to BB.
