This is not an urgent matter, and no, BlackBerry is not right for you. The only transmission that can be encrypted on a BlackBerry is e-mail, and that is only if you and the recipient have trusted digital certificates. SMS and calls CANNOT be encrypted. If you need to have those items encrypted, you need to be with the US Government, and get them to give you a Harris Sectera Edge, and the person you call must also have a STE or similar phone.
The best suggestion I can give you is to get a "burner" phone.

What, pray tell, do you urgently need this feature for?

I hope you don't think we work for RIM or Blackberry, because we do not.
If it is so urgent then I suggest you follow the advice given above and have your sponsor procure at least 2 STE's, one for you and one for the person you are calling.

This thread is full of great information. I am going to get an STE for myself and the Chinese restaurant down the street. I am so sick and tired of my neighbors intercepting my calls and then intercepting the Chinese food delivery man!

I just had lunch special #L39, Sesame Chicken, with white rice and an Egg Roll.
$6.35 delivered.
Delivered by someone wearing sunglasses (it is raining out) in a Black Helicopter.
I knew tin foil and black helicopters would make at least one appearance in this thread.

But mine arrived in a black Tahoe followed closely in trail by a black Suburban, both with dark tinted windows.
