hey, i hope someone answers quick cause i really dont want to spend a lot of time here (im an android guy!)...i found a blackberry 8830 today and want to get it back to its owner...ive lost a lot of phones in my day.

so, the phone is password protected, and thats ok. but is there a way i can pull the contacts off the SD card so i can call 'home' or 'mom' or something like that? i have the battery off, but from here it looks like everything is soldered in!

i know this seems wack...but its genuine, so...help if u can!:-?

Kudos to you for trying to do the right thing. I always put a I.C.E number on the lock screen in case of that situation. Are there any numbers or any info at all on that screen?

not really, i can see her first name and her cell number, plus where she works, which i googled, and the place has 20,000+ employees so i dont really think thats viable...

is the contact extraction a no go?

It's a 8830, no SIM card, and if it is password protected there's nothing, absolutely nothing, you can do to get the contacts off... You're best off calling the carrier and reporting the phone number and the device found.

Sorry but this is just a tad suspect to EZ
Just sayin. My first thought once discovering device locked would be to contact the carrier
