Any way a sim card phone(ATT Torch) can be used on a NON-sim card network(Sprint/Boost)??
I really like the Torch and use the Sprint/Boost network.
Or any news on when the other guys might get the Torch?

The Torch is GSM. Sprint is CDMA. Totally different and incompatible technologies. Plus, Sprint will not allow a non-Sprint device on their network.

Your guess is a good as anyone's. I would say it is doubtful. Need to wait and see what the Storm 3 is like.

Most likely not, More to happen like on T-Mobile's network.

I'm sure Sprint is pushing RIM for something. The market demand is something RIM watches.

We may see a 9830 at some point.

6 months to a year until we see this. I was pining for the Storm 2 on Sprint and finally gave up on that pipe dream. It appears to me that Sprint is concentrating on Android, leaving BlackBerry as a sideline thing.

I think it is kind of bunk that Sprint might be ignoring RIM. They are having a great surge in Blackberry sales due to the Boost/Blackberry deal.
If T-Mobile gets it, that would really suck. The number 4 gets it before number 3?!
I am curious about the Strom 3. But I am not a super huge fan of the bouncy keyboard. Which made me not want a 1 or 2.
Anyways, any more info would of course be great as I would love to get a Torch. But really hate Verizon and AT&T and their customer service.

Much greater likelihood that T-Mobile gets the Torch before Sprint.
GSM - minor change in 3G radio bands - and the Torch runs very nicely on it now.
CDMA is, well, different, and Sprint has to concentrate on consumer driven pre-paid business, which is the part that is growing for them.
PCWORLD was not too kind the the Torch in this months mag. Comments on the slow processor and screen response.

I heard it was a bit slower...huh. They have the tech so i wonder what the deal is. Is it the web or the functions in general that are lagging?

Software. With each new release it gets faster.
