I have the BB curve 8520 on a contract with Vodafone.
Background: I've just moved to Germany and will be here till July, so need to get a German sim asap. My UK contract is still running as it was too expensive to opt out early. I THINK my phone is unlocked as when I go to options > advanced options > SIM card, it says 'security disabled' at the top.
Does this mean I will be able to use my phone with a German sim when I buy it? Obviously I can't buy into any contract over here as they are all 18 -24 months, so would be looking either for a PAYG sim or one of those contracts that allows month by month renewal, although I have yet to find the latter anywhere. Also (very basic question as I've NEVER used PAYG before) - does internet time come straight out of the credit you've bought? Will German internet via a German sim work on my phone at all??
