Can you tell me how that headset works with the 7100i? I just received the free Motorola 820 and it seems everyone I talk to says it breaks up and crackles.

Why dont you test for yourself rather than rely on what others have to say. Circumstances will never be the same in order to make an accurate assesment. I do not have an 7100, I use a 7250 but I do have an HS-820 and have used it with it from day one over 9 months ago without one single problem. Does that mean it will be the same for you, no. THere are a 1000 and one factors that can influence the outcome and to base your decision on what may either be a biased or misconscrued conclusion may not be fair to you.

My 7100i and 640 work great too. Sound is a bit better than my Logitech and it is more comfortable than the over the ear du-hickey.

Why not delete it and try to repair it with the handheld

I have a list of supported headsets and that Plantronics model isn't one of them. I see Plantronics M2500 and M3000 models.

I agree my experience could/would be totally different than his. I have read good things about the Plantronics, and I was just looking for general thoughts on its performance.

I use the Plantronics 640 and i can't say enough good things about it. I had the Jabra and the 640 beats it in every way for me. The sound is much better and others don't get backgroud noise and it seems to work better even when out in the wind.
So i've had good luck with the 640 have stopped looking for another better device for the moment.

Huh? I'm pretty sure you should just use the one it came with.

I mean plantronics sells a adapter so that you can use a razr usb charger to charge the headset. I want to know if the blackberry 7130e's usb charger will work too
