I updated to the newest OS on my 9700, only to have all my notifications shut down after I got my first text message.
Hmmmm.... Rebooted.... Alls well, I get a call, the phone rings... No notifications after that... I reboot.... Alls good, I get an email....
Notifications shut off again.
Called AT&T... The send me a new phone saying mine is bad.
I get it.... Update to newest OS (5.something I think... Maybe its 6 now)
And have the same prob... Call AT&T the 'blackberry specialist' says oh, you got a currupted sms msg. Delete them and all emails..
I do it... Sure enuf I get my sound back, next text or email or phonecall and it shuts off again.... They send m$e another phone... Same deal... Finally I get a guy who tells me 'oh, well that's a bug in the new OS you gotta step back to the previous version' I do it and now the phone works alright, though the 'o' key works about 50% of the time.... I just can't stomach gettint another phone... As I've been true about 12 now to get one that works this well.
Anyway... Does anyone know about this problem, is the service center maybe blowing smoke up my arse? Is there a fix?
I appreciate any help or info you may have.
