ok, so my phone is dead - been trying for a week now to bring mine back to life and I really thought I did it the other day when the Blackberry Desktop Software recognized the phone and uploaded all the system files....rebooted, phone displayed homescreen for about 4 seconds and then went black and white, the screen broke up and faded away.......now its back to its red LED and no display antics again.
So, I think we can honestly say my motherboard is dead - I even took phone to a proper repair shop who charged me £8 to open it up and clean all the contacts.......still dead!!
I'm willing to replace the motherbaord as the Blackberry is in perfect condition and I love how the phone operated - internet could be faster (Edge seems so slow compared to my old 3G internet phone)
Does anyone know where to buy a 8900 motherboard from? I've looked all over and can't find any....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
