Just got off the phone with phones4u and i've just purchased contract with them..

£30 a month
500 minutes anytime/any network
unlimited texts
free blackberry internet

They gave me a choice of 3 blackberrys;

Blackberry curve 9300 3g
Blackberry bold 9700
Blackberry torch

They told me the Curve 9300 was the new one so i went with that, i can change it within the next 7 working days though..

The thing is, i know the Torch is the best one (i think) but they said to me, if i wanted the torch i'd have to pay £140 extra as it's the most expensive out of the 3. The Curve and the Bold i'd get free however.

Which one should i go for?

Stick with the 9300 curve?

Go with the 9700 Bold?

Or go with the Torch but pay £140 extra to get it?

Thanks in advance

I'd go with the Torch... but you can pick it up for free on most networks for the same monthly price rather than pay for the handset

Depends on how much you like touch screens. The Torch/9800 is a touch screen device with a slide out keyboard.

And please update your profile to reflect your current BB model number.

I currently have a 8900 though..

I'm a fan of touch screens, but i prefer the keyboard, this has both right? is the torch worth going for whilst paying the extra £140 though? or would you go for the 9700 for free?

i had the 9700 and love the using the torch now, best thing if possible is to try out both devices and then choose.

9700 is a solid no frills very reliable phone. Actually, works anywhere in the world with no problems with data or voice. Torch is new, may still have some bugs and are you familiar with touch screen operation?

Gotta be your call on this one. The best advice is to go play with one and see how you like it.

Only touch screen i've ever had are the Iphone 3GS and the Sony Erricson Satio.

Anything like them?

the Torch is a bit different so it's best to try it.

I'll have to check it out..

Just to be sure, is the torch basically the 9700 bold + a touch screen? if so, thats great! :)

Sort of. Its got more memory for applications and data storage [emails, sms, contacts for example]
Os 6 with the new webkit browser.

I had torch and it really nice. I always connect to facebook and active RSS reader. Torch clearly fulfill my request.
