I believe this has been discussed and dont think there is a way to see the bars as % on the home screen, just thru Options/Status. Erasing the event log just free's up space.

Discussed yesterday. There are third party programs like PocketDay and BBToday that display the battery as a percentage, but you can't do it with the native OS.

On my 7520 pushing :alt: and nmll changes my signal strenth from bars to numbers It doesn"t not show my battery strengh.

Wow, learned something new. I'm not sure I really like my signal strength reading as a number, but it's cool to know it can.
