Can't add to Preferred network list

Hi All,

I am currently using a Blackberry 7100 on the FIDO network. Based on some the posts I have seen I beleive that it is possible to set up this device on FIDO just for data services. So far I have no success.

I am having two prolems;

1) Every time I set my APN setting and reboot the phone the APN settings are lost

2) I see from the BB docs that I should be able to manually add a network. However, on my BB I do not see this option.

Any help would be really great.

Did you buy the phone new or used? Is it on a BES? It sounds like it could have an IT POLICY in place. It may also be a restriction set by your carrier itself.

I bought the phone on ebay unlocked.

Not on BES. In fact has no data connectivity yet at all.
