Uncaught exceptions

Help, can't view my call logs, keep getting msg "uncaught exception:net.rim.device.api.system.objectgroupreadonlyexception. Tried backup and restore then advance to clear phone call log but the Phone Call Log is not accessible to clear - indicates device is configured for wireless synchronization, wireless backup and read-only. You cannot clear or restore.
Have to do a hard reset (pull out battery) to use phone.
So, how to clear this log with recurring errors?

Can be caused by a lot of things and can be difficult to track down. What did you do just before it began to occur?

One solution would be to reload the OS.

Another would be delete all the service books and then resend them along with a hard reset.

Another would be to paste your entire error message "uncaught exception:net.rim.device.api.system.objectgrouprea donlyexception" into Google and see what you find. I got quite a few hits but aren't sure which if any fit your situation. I would do this first.
