View Full Version : Headset won't pair w/ 7100i?

I can't get my new 7100i to find my Flamingo headset. It worked great with my 7520, but now that I have upgraded, I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Make sure the 7100i is set to "discoverable"...and of course that the headset is in "pairing" mode.... thats all I can think of off hand, as its been several months since I did it....

What do you mean by set to "discoverable"? How do I do that? I guess I am kind of an idiot right now?

Options-->Bluetooth-->and in one of the menu's is the option to make the device "discoverable"--meaning other bt devices can hook up to it/find it. I assume you have bluetooth turned on at least, correct?

right, I have the device turned on and I went options>Bluetooth>enable and then went to add device and it goes through searching for a device but then tells me that it can't find a device...

You have to put the headset in pairing mode, this is done by holding the button down for about ten seconds until the blue light is solidly lit and not blinking, only then will it be discovered by your handset. Try that.

I did it!!! I had to enter a passkey, but I got it to pair! Thanks for the help!

passkey is usually 0000 four zero's
