phone keeps switching between handset and headset

Has this happened to anyone else? While I'm using the handset, the phone keeps switching over to headset, though I don't have a headset plugged in. This causes the phone call to go in-and-out.

Anyone experience this? I've tried multiple OS -- (5 and 6) -- still not working.

Yes - this happened to my 9700. I called Tech Support and they tried a number of things over the course of several weeks. Turned out that the only way to resolve the problem was to replace the device. It's a hardware failure - not a software issue. They did a free device swap as it was still under warranty.

Sorry - wish there were a more simple solution, but that was my experience.
