Just bought my first BB. Very excited to jump in and start using it.

Wondering which is the best chat program for AIM. Also, are there any other 3rd party apps that are a "must" download?

Thanks!

if you do a search on "software" you'll get a hit on the "killer software" thread that will answer the vast majority of your questions.....

happy hunting...

But in case you wondering if something is newer and better now as opposed to some of the older threads. I still recommend Cryptmagic...its an ewallet. Mobipocket reader is good too.

I have been a fan of Mobipocket Reader on my PocketPCs for a long time. Unfortunately, the BB version is a simple reader that will not work with any indexed books, like dictionaries, reference books, etc. I'll be a bigger fan if / when the BB Pro version becomes available.

The app I most use on my Blackberry is my RSS reader. I personally use FreeNews, but there are a bunch of them out there (I just think this one is the best).

Happy hunting!

Download and store locally. You read your subscribed info from a local application, not through the wireless web (though it does use data to "update"). Oh, and it's fast, too 8-)

I've been using this for a couple of days and love it! I'm using v1.0.3 and am having trouble upgrading it to 1.0.5 or 2.0. Having you upgraded yet?

Also, is there a way to update a single thread or category as opoosed to updating the entire list of categories? Thx, Sabesh.

Try deleting the app and then install the new version. But the app loader should see a newer version too.
