Hi,
Has anyone tried downloading software version 4.1 from Blackberry for the T-Mobile 7105t? I want to use the bluetooth sync and I am sick of waiting for T-Mobile to release the software. Would this "break" the blackberry or void my warranty? Thanks a lot.

Yep

I successfully installed the Hong Kong 4.1 on my 7105t. Big improvement in features, functionality and preformance. There are a number of threads regarding this, check the BB software forum to hitchhike on the trials and tribulations of those who went before.

I second everything GMK said.

Is the appropriate selection for the 7105t the 7100g upgrade? I followed the link to the Hong Kong download and that appears to be the closest selection.

I must be doing something wrong.

I DL the BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.1.0.210 (Multilanguage)
from the hong kong site. I installed it but it only brings up the regular
Desktop stuff. Exactly how does one UPGRADE the habdheld to 4.1.0.210?
Right now I am running 4.0.2.

Do a forum search for "Vendor.xml"

For those of you that have upgraded: Has anyone been able to determine if the Bluetooth headset volume is louder than in 4.0? Thanks.

Hey i am a newbie an i just have to say that i have been using the
Desktop Manager V 4.1 but i just get it yet. i was wonder how to transfer songs or mp3 to your blackberry phone. I have a 7105t v from t-mobile. You guys can download the 4.1 v from here https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareDownload/index.jsp?client=biTZdMddN

Well, I will agree with one of your statements. You are a newbie.

You gave a link for Nextel. So none of that code will work with T-Mobile.
Desktop Manager is available from any carrier website and from the RIM web site.

T-Mobile has not release handheld OS v4.1 for any devices yet.

Even with 4.1 you can not transfer songs or MP3s to your BlackBerry wireless e-mail device.

I am disappointed to report that, at least on my 7105t, with the CSL 4.1 software, I still can barely hear through my BT headset when there is any ambient noise around. This is really annoying when I need it most, such as in the car, or running through the airport to catch a flight, bags in tow. What I can't understand is the many RIM employees that must be using this device not complaining that this is a problem. If in fact they are complaining, why RIM won't get this situation straightened out. I've all but gone back to using the wired headset.

Anybody else notice that with 4.1 you can choose which app the browser key starts? I love it!

sj - I upgraded my 7100t and was likewise disappointed that the upgrade didn't result in any volume increase. BTW, I am using a Motorola HS-850. The RIM recommended HS-820 was no louder.

mike - thanks for the info. What headset are you using and what headset did it replace? Is it loud enough to use in an airport or while walking down a city street?

BTW, this is a known issue acknowledged by RIM where the bluetooth output volume was reduced in the upgrade from v3.8 to v4.0, meaning that headsets that were once loud enough in most situations, now require a quiet environment to be usable.

Please Help:

I Live In Mexico, I Have A 7100t With The Carrier Telcel, My Bb Is Working With The Os 4.0.2.39 That I Download From Movistar In Spanish. My Question Is: If I Download The Os4.1 From The Hong Kong Carrier, Could I Use With My Telephone In Spanish, The Message That Appears In The Download Page Is That The File Is Multilanguage.

Could Someone Know If I Could Use In Spanish?

Thanks A Lot
